Music & Drama

The Music and Drama Department at St. Timothy is an active ministry seeking to enhance worship, provide opportunities for service and witness through music and drama, and reach out to the community through the presentation of plays, concerts and other events. Our goal is to glorify God in all that we do. We believe that often music and drama can touch hearts in a way that words alone cannot, and are committed to presenting works that reflect our passion for Jesus Christ.

Choir Description and Schedules
We have choirs for adults, youth and children that rehearse regularly, as well as vocal and instrumental ensembles that rehearse as needed. Choir rehearsals are scheduled as follows:
  • Revelation (youth grades 6-12) – Sundays at 4:00 pm in the choir room. The Youth sing, ring or play (Revelation Singers, Revelation Ringers and Revelation Players as appropriate) in worship regularly, and present a Dinner Theater, usually a comedy, in the winter. They also assist other groups in the church with drama presentations.

  • The Celebration Ringers, an adult handbell choir, play in regularly worship during Advent and Christmas, and Lent and Easter. They rehearse Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm.

  • Chancel Choir (adults) – Wednesdays at 7:15 pm. This group of faithful servants is the service choir for worship most Sundays. They sing a wide variety of musical styles including many types of gospel, hymn tunes, classical, contemporary, Sacred Harp, Caribbean, African, and traditional anthems
